Intro/Scope

MakersHub, Inc. (“MakersHub,” “we,” “our,” and/or “us”) value the privacy of individuals who use our websites, and hosted applications and other related services (collectively, our “Service” or “Platform”]). This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, and disclose share information from users of our Service (“Users”) to facilitate and optimize the User payments experience. By using our Service, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and procedures this Privacy Policy describes. Registration and Profile Information. When you sign up for an account, register to use our Service, sign up for notifications or updates, or participate in our surveys, we ask you for your name, email address, billing address, phone number,  Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number (collectively, “EIN”).

Communications. If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you, such as  your name, email address, phone number, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide. When you communicate with us online, third party vendors receive and store these communications on our behalf. If you subscribe to our newsletter, then we will collect certain information from you, such as your email address. When we send you emails, we may track whether you open them to learn how to deliver a better customer experience and improve our Service.

Careers. If you decide that you wish to apply for a job with us, you may submit your contact information and your resume online. We will collect the information you choose to provide on your resume, such as your education and employment experience. You may also apply through LinkedIn. If you do so, we will collect the information you make available to us on LinkedIn. 

Payment Information. When you process a payment through the Service, we collect information about the payment transaction and the transacting parties, such as the date, time and location(s) of the transaction, identifying information of the sender and recipient, the payment or transfer amount(s), bank account information for the sender and/or recipient, a description of the transaction, and the Service Fees charged. B. Information We Collect When You Use Our Service.

Location Information. When you use our Service we may receive your precise location information. We also infer your general location information, for example by using your internet protocol (IP) address.

Device Information. We receive information about the device and software you use to access the Service, including IP address, web browser type, operating system version, the domain name of the Internet Service Provider you use; and the date(s) and time(s) you access the Service; and the individual address of the device that you use to interact with the Service.

Usage Information. To help us understand how you use the Service and to help us improve the Service, we automatically receive information about your interactions, like the pages or other content you view, the searches you conduct, financial transactions you make, any content you interact with or create, and the dates and times of your visits.

Information from Cookies and Similar Technologies. We and our third-party partners collect information using cookies, pixel tags, or similar technologies. Our third-party partners, such as analytics and advertising partners, may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across different services. Cookies are small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to our Service.

Information from third-party services. If you choose to link our Service to a third- party account, we may receive information about you, including but not limited to your profile information and your affiliated use of the third-party account. If you wish to limit the information available to us, you should visit the privacy settings of your third-party accounts to learn about your options.

Compliance and Fraud. For verification and identification purposes, compliance with anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism finance legal requirements, “know your customer” regulations, and OFAC sanctions requirements we receive publicly available information about you. We may also collect additional information about you from third parties for purposes of fraud detection and prevention, in connection with certain types of investigations, or as otherwise permitted by law to ensure the safety and security of the Service. Address and Organization information. We may collect information about you or your Organization from commercially available sources to ensure your account information, for example your address, is accurate and up-to-date.

Other third parties. We may receive additional information about you, from third parties such as data or marketing partners and combine it with other information we have about you.

How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the information we collect:

  • To provide, maintain, improve, and enhance our Service;
  • To personalize your experience on our Service;
  • To understand and analyze how you use our Service and develop new products, services, features, and functionality;

Third-Party App Integrations. If you connect a third-party application to our Services, we may disclose information related to your integrated use of the Service to that third party. 

Marketing. We do not rent, sell, or share information about you with nonaffiliated companies for their direct marketing purposes, unless we have your permission.

Analytics Partners. We use analytics services such as Google Analytics to collect and process certain analytics data. These services may also collect information about your use of other websites, apps, and online resources. Advertising Partners. We may work with third-party advertising partners to show you ads that we think may interest you. Some of our advertising partners are members of the Network Advertising Initiative (https://optout.networkadvertising.org) or the Digital Advertising Alliance ( https://optout.aboutads.info). If you do not wish to receive personalized ads, please visit their opt-out pages to learn about how you may opt out of receiving web-based personalized ads from member companies. You can access any settings offered by your mobile operating system to limit ad tracking, or you can install the AppChoices mobile app to learn more about how you may opt out of personalized ads in mobile apps.

As Required By Law and Similar Disclosures. We may access, preserve, and disclose your information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (a) comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (b) respond to your requests; or (c) protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety. Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers. CHOICES/PREFERENCES

Your Choices

Location Information. You can prevent your device from sharing precise location information at any time through your device’s operating system settings.

Marketing Communications. You can unsubscribe from our promotional emails via the link provided in the emails. Even if you opt out of receiving promotional messages from us, you will continue to receive administrative messages from us.

Do Not Track. There is no accepted standard on how to respond to Do Not Track signals, and we do not respond to such signals.

If you choose not to provide us with information we collect, some features of our Service may not work as intended.

We take measures to delete your information or keep it in a form that does not permit identifying you when this information is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we process it, unless we are required by law to keep this information for a longer period.  When determining the retention period, we take into account various criteria, such as the type of products and services requested by or provided to you, the nature and length of our relationship with you, the impact on the Service we provide to you if we delete some information from or about you, mandatory retention periods provided by law, and any relevant statute of limitations.
