MakersHub 2025 Year in Review

A Year of Precision, Scale, and Global Expansion

2025 was a defining year for MakersHub.

We shipped meaningful platform upgrades across payments, integrations, approvals, and AI powered automation with a single goal in mind: making accounts payable faster, more accurate, and easier to scale for complex finance teams.

From expanding internationally to strengthening core AP workflows, everything we delivered this year was shaped by real customer use cases and real world complexity. Here is a look back at the most impactful updates from 2025 and how they work together to elevate the AP experience.

Built on Trust and Infrastructure

SOC 2 Type II Certified

Security and reliability are table stakes for modern finance teams. In 2025, MakersHub achieved SOC 2 Type II certification, validating that our systems, controls, and operational practices meet the highest standards for data security, availability, and privacy.

This certification reflects more than a point in time audit. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to protecting sensitive financial data and earning the trust of customers, partners, and auditors alike.

Payments That Move at the Speed of Your Business

Payment Credits: Control Speed, Cost, and Visibility

We introduced MakersHub Payment Credits to give finance teams control over how quickly payments remit, without sacrificing transparency.

Each subscription includes a monthly credit allotment that covers standard ACH and check payments. When speed matters, teams can use additional credits to accelerate individual payments. Credits renew monthly, and purchased credits never expire. Payment speed preferences and credit balances can be managed directly from the dashboard.

E Checks and Smarter Remittance Controls

For teams that still rely on checks, E Checks modernize the experience. Payments are delivered electronically, protected with Positive Pay, and trackable from send to deposit.

We also improved payment remittance controls, allowing teams to configure reply to recipients, add CCs for internal visibility, and resend remittance emails directly from payment details. Vendors reach the right people faster, and finance teams spend less time managing follow ups.

One Workflow for Domestic and Global AP

International FX Payments

MakersHub now supports cross border payments across 87 IBAN countries, enabling vendors to be paid in their local currency while funding payments in USD via ACH.

Teams can add and validate foreign bank accounts using IBAN or SWIFT, see real time FX rates at scheduling with clear USD and FX amounts, route payments intelligently by country and currency, deliver fast settlement via SEPA where available, and automatically generate FX accounting entries including realized gain and loss in QuickBooks Online Multi Currency.

International payments now live inside the same audit ready workflow as domestic AP, eliminating separate banking portals, manual FX adjustments, and reconciliation headaches.

Smarter Numeric Extraction for Global Invoices

To support global invoice formats, we upgraded extraction to better interpret numeric values that vary by region. This reduces approval errors, misread amounts, and rework as customers process invoices from a wider range of suppliers.

Expansion into Canada, Built for Real Tax Complexity

Built for Canadian Sales Tax Workflows in QuickBooks Online

MakersHub is now available in Canada with support designed for Canadian tax structures, including multi rate and tax inclusive invoices.

MakersHub supports true line item tax accuracy calculated at the item level the way vendors invoice. It handles multi rate tax codes such as GST plus PST, QST, or HST, detects tax inclusive pricing, and ensures clean reconciliation with totals that match vendor invoices down to the penny. Tax codes and rates are pulled directly from QuickBooks Online and applied automatically at the line level.

This level of precision removes penny discrepancies, reduces month end clean up, and makes onboarding smoother for Canadian customers.

Deeper, More Reliable Integrations

Two Way Sync with Sage Intacct

Our native Sage Intacct integration went live in 2025, enabling end to end AP automation with two way sync.

The integration supports entities and locations, GL accounts, vendors and suppliers, projects and jobs, items, and departments and classes. Because it is built in house, customers benefit from speed, accuracy, and stability at scale.

Smart Data Connect and Expanded Integration Mapping

We also delivered Smart Data Connect to support flexible import and export workflows for custom ERP environments. Alongside this, we expanded our integration mapping engine to enable more precise automated coding during bill imports using locations, departments, and address based signals.

A More Thoughtful AP Workflow

Purchase Orders with Line Item Accuracy

The PO Module helps teams match bills to purchase orders with full line item detail, detect price changes quickly, receive items by amount instead of just quantity, and calculate what has been received versus what is still outstanding. This ensures tighter cost control while keeping accounting systems in sync.

Clearer Reviews and Faster Approvals

Throughout 2025, we focused heavily on improving day to day AP workflows. Highlights include:

  • AP Aging Summary with clear aging buckets and drill downs
  • Changes Requested approvals that allow bills to be sent back for updates without breaking approval history
  • Supervisor visibility via Direct Reports for controlled oversight without full admin access
  • Support Document tagging to keep non bill files out of the review queue while remaining easy to reference
  • Improved Net Terms extraction with Prox term controls for clearer due date logic
  • Bill and receipt templates for recurring or complex payables
  • Bookmark highlighting in multi invoice PDFs to speed up bundled invoice review

Each improvement reflects how finance teams actually work, with real world exceptions and collaboration built in.

Small Updates That Make a Big Difference

In addition to major launches, we shipped a steady stream of enhancements that save time every day:

  • Batch import for bills
  • Multi page PDF attachments for check mailing
  • Smarter vendor detection with ignore rules
  • Entity names included in billing notifications
  • Customizable invoice table layouts
  • Expanded filtering for bills and payments
  • Unlimited drag and drop uploads
  • Shift plus click range selection
  • List View for spreadsheet style bill review
  • Archive and restore vendor records
  • QuickBooks supplier address lookup
  • Faster navigation, persistent headers, and improved performance
  • A significantly more mobile friendly experience

Individually, these updates save minutes. Together, they transform how teams manage AP at scale.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Everything we shipped in 2025 reinforces a core belief: precision matters.

As we look to 2026, we are continuing to invest in payment infrastructure, WiseVision enhancements and AI agents, banking and working capital capabilities, and deeper integrations with the systems finance teams rely on most.

To our customers, partners, and community, thank you for shaping this year with your feedback and trust.

MakersHub is built for businesses where every detail matters, and 2025 brought us closer than ever to that standard.
